Finding Home Again: A Story of Resilience After the Palisades Fire

admin

In the world of custom home building, we often talk about square footage, floor plans, and finishes. But every so often, a project comes along that reminds us why we really do what we do.

When a local family lost everything to the devastating Palisades Fire, they weren’t just looking for a new house. They were looking for a place where they could finally exhale—a permanent, secure sanctuary to begin their next chapter.

A Foundation for a New Chapter

The video above is a raw and moving look at what it means to lose a home and, more importantly, what it takes to rebuild one. While the fire took their possessions, it couldn’t touch their resilience.

To honor that strength, we worked closely with them to create a special, stretched 40-foot version of our Felicity model. We knew that for a family starting over, space and light weren’t just luxuries—they were essential for healing.

Designed for Family, Built for Peace of Mind

While the story is about their journey, the home we built together is a testament to their future. To give them the room they needed to grow, we expanded the footprint to include features designed for a full, vibrant life:

  • Room to Breathe: A massive living area and an expanded kitchen designed for family meals and gathering.
  • Space for the Kids: A dedicated children’s room featuring a custom play nook—a private “world within a world” for the youngest member of the family to call their own.
  • Residential Comfort: A master-scale main level bathroom and the rare addition of an upper-level half-bath to accommodate a busy household.
  • Fire-Resilient Engineering: In direct response to the fire, we engineered the exterior with a high-performance combination of fire-resistant cedar and rugged metal siding. This wasn’t just an aesthetic choice; it was about providing the family with a physical sense of security and a home built to stand firm against the elements.

More Than a House

We are deeply humbled that this family chose Frontier Tiny Homes to help them stand their ground. This 560 square foot sanctuary is more than just a feat of engineering; it is a place where memories will be rebuilt, where the kids will play in their new favorite nook, and where “home” is a word that finally feels permanent again.
